  • Maintain Dwarven Stability Dwarven Stability for Dash Dash and to prevent Knock downs from WarriorAbyssals and WarriorShadow Warriors.
  • Use Death's Charge Death's Charge and Heart of Shadow Heart of Shadow to speed up the run, as self-heal and to get unstuck.
  • Use Shadow of Haste Shadow of Haste or Dark Prison Dark Prison to speed up the run.
  • Use Whirling Defense Whirling Defense to kill enemies.
  • When around foes that interrupt, such as Impalers and Cave Spiders, spacing your casts by 2-3 seconds and strafing before casting will help to prevent interrupts. Additionally, casting while Whirling Defense is up will reduce your chances of being interrupted even more. Also, since the interrupts you encounter are ranged attacks, keeping a safe distance will make it more likely that the interrupt will hit you after you've finished casting your spell.

Notes[]

  • Despite common belief, a 360 may NOT be faster than group by group depending on when you reach Forge. If you reach Forge well before the mainteam, and it's already been opened, do 360. If you have to open it first it is better to not do a 360.
  • In Forge, the groups of Abyssals and Beasts are likely break aggro if you do not allow the Beasts to initiate an attack (it's not required to hit). If they still decide to break, run back and ball them with the previous caster group, do not risk complications by continuing the 360.
  • During a 360, only use Death's Charge to travel to the next caster group (effectively breaking aggro with the previous caster group), do not use it if Abyssals or Beasts have stalled or you will lose aggro. You can also use Death's Charge to jump from the caster group to the Shadow Rangers on top of Forge to stop the casters following you up, with a slight step backward the melee mobs will not break aggro.
  • During Defend the Temple of War, when killing the first of the spawns at either south or north side of forge, quickly use DC on the second spawn of Shadow Beasts to prevent them from aggroing the team, and pull them out of aggro range of any corpses to prevent them from using Consume Corpse.

Usage[]

  • Maintain your pcons.
  • On spikes, use Sand Shards Sand Shards Vow of Strength Vow of Strength Death's Charge Death's Charge Staggering Force Staggering Force Eremite's Attack Eremite's Attack Sand Shards Sand Shards (kill any leftovers with auto-attacks).
  • Do not attack your target before using Eremite's Attack. Attacking the target prior to Eremite's will quickly cause the foes to scatter. This means no auto attacking. Press 'T' after the leader pings the target and then use Death's Charge followed by Eremite's Attack, no space.
  • Have "I Am Unstoppable!" up while killing Worms in the Lightning Forest so you don't get crippled.
  • As a Dervish, use your enchants in the right order, Eremite's removes the last enchantment cast before the attack and you don't want it to remove Sand Shards or VoS before you spike.
  • If bringing Shield of Force, in forest, use it in the middle of the worms to create a moment to freecast VoS.
  • Remember that someone is supposed to take the mainteam's quests.

  • Maintain your pcons.
  • Use Patient Spirit Patient Spirit and Dwayna's Kiss Dwayna's Kiss to heal.
  • Use Cure Hex Cure Hex to remove hexes, mainly Spiteful Spirit Spiteful Spirit .
  • Use Great Dwarf Weapon Great Dwarf Weapon on spikers, to help killing leftovers.
  • Use "Can't Touch This!" "Can't Touch This!" on the spikers against:
    • Throw Dirt Throw Dirt from RangerRock Borer Worms.
    • Lightning Touch Lightning Touch from ElementalistSkeletal Icehands and ElementalistSpirit Shepherds.
  • Use "Fall Back!" "Fall Back!" between spikes and to speed boost Forest Griffons.
  • Maintain Unyielding Aura Unyielding Aura outside of Forest of theWailing Lord and use it to resurrect dead party members.
  • Use Ebon Escape Ebon Escape to heal and to speed up the run.
  • If you cannot keep somebody alive, then do not waste your energy, just res them up as fast as possible.
  • Try to avoid casting directly on the MT as it can pull aggro.

Team usage[]

Terra 1[]

FoWSC T1 (split)

Terra One Route

  1. Run past the Tower of Courage, avoid aggroing any foes which the MT will be balling.
  2. Open The Forge by dragging the Shadow Army into the two Skeleton groups to the east (one is patrolling, one is static).
  3. Take the Slaves of Menzies quest.
  4. Continue south and take the The Hunt to spawn the Shard Wolves.
  5. Return to the Burning Forest, aggro everything and kill the Shadow Overlords, then kill the Shard Wolf.
  6. Head towards the Tower of Strength. Find a safespot and wait for the Main Team to finish clearing the Forge where they need to take two quests for you; Khobay the Betrayer and the Tower of Strength.
  7. Kill the 5 Shadow Patrols around the Tower of Strength, and then kill the Shard Wolf. Whilst avoiding killing the Shadow Mesmer, kill the Shadow Rangers to make the T2's job easier.
  8. Go the Lake of Fire, aggro two Drake groups and bring them to Khobay. Kill him with Whirling.

Terra 2[]

Terra Two Route

  1. Run past the Tower of Courage, avoid aggroing any foes which the MT will be balling.
  2. Head towards the camp, there will be a small group of four Shadow Army standing nearby. Use nearby caster groups of skeletons to fuel Sliver Armor while you kill the Shadow Monk, Ranger and Beasts.
  3. Take the two quests from the NPCs at the camp.
  4. Go towards the Priest of Menzies. Aggro him from below the cliff and pull him to the west of his spawn point, he'll walk down. This saves you engaging the Dragon Lich and saves you time walking with the Book.
  5. Dropping the Book any time you need to recast Shadow Form, return it to the camp.
  6. Find the Shard Wolf in the Battlefield and kill it.
  7. If the Main Team has completed the Forge defense quest, you can run straight through. Otherwise wait a bit until the NPC which provides the Restore the Temple of War quest has spawned (spawns the Seeds of Corruption).
  8. Run south through the Forge and enter the Spider Cave. Run through to the far end and kill the Shard Wolf on the Beach.
  9. Kill the 5 Seeds of Corruption in the Spider Cave.
  10. Kill the Shard Wolf just east of the Spider Cave.
  11. Return to the Forge; this will trigger the Mage for the Tower of Strength event (if the T1 has killed the 5 Shadow Patrols). Follow the Mage and kill the Shadow Lord in the Tower using the Shadow Mesmers as fuel for Sliver Armor.

Main Team Route

How to spike:

  • Perma balls groups tightly and pings EBSoH.
  • The leader selects a non-monk target within the ball (such that the monk gets more damage from Sand Shards), and pings that target and the spikers Shadow Step towards it and spike it.
  • UA does not cast anything on the tank unless it's about to die, as this will pull aggro.
  1. Clear the way to the Tower of Courage and complete Rastigan's quest. Most likely, two VoS (potentially the UA too) will stay back to complete the quest while the rest continue ahead.
  2. Clear the way to the Temple of War and clear it so the Eternal Forgemaster appears. Terra 1 takes the quests so you can go directly to the Temple of War.
  3. Take the first quest once the MT is waiting on the south side of the forge. Pull them towards the middle and kill. Once they are dead, the MT and Dervishes should stand on the corpses to kill, so that the new Beast's that spawn don't jump around with Consume Corpse. Do the same for the North side.
  4. Before leaving the Temple of War, nominate one player to make sure all three quests are taken — Khobay the Betrayer, Restore the Temple of War and Tower of Strength from Eternal Lord Taeres. Your terras will hate you if you nobody takes the quests.
  5. Head to the Wailing Forest, clear all foes to the wailing lord. Do not kill the Wailing Lord.
  6. The MT should pull and kill the nearby Shard Wolf, using Sliver Armor whilst avoiding Worms who have interrupts.
  7. Nominate one VoS as the quest taker. Wait until everyone else is out of compass range (their names are grayed out) and the MT says ready, then take the quest from the Wailing Lord. Wait until you are called by the main team. After being asked to bring the griffons by the main team, you should ping enemies by selecting an enemy and pressing Ctrl+Shift+Space; this will ensure the griffons follow you instead of any other moving (or attacking) player. Make sure your allies don't ping targets to spike which will steal the griffons interest.
  8. The main team should clear the way back to the Tower of Courage. Once you are almost there, tell the griffon person that they can come with the griffons.
  9. Pull and kill the last Shard Wolf near the Tower of Courage. Wait in the Tower until the griffons get there, then head to The Forge for your reward.

Notes[]

  • This page describes the T1/T2 split that applies when a ranger T1 is used. There is an older split variant when both T1 and T2 are played by assassins:
    • T1: Priest of Menzies, Battlefield Shard Wolf, Slaves of Menzies, Burning Forest Shard Wolf, Tower of Strength Shadow Patrols and Lord.
    • T2: The Hunt, Beach Shard Wolf, Seeds of Corruption, Shard Wolf just outside the cave, Khobay.
